Tim C. FitzGerald, MSFS, AEP ®

Tim C. FitzGerald is the founding partner of TFG Financial, a full service Estate and Business Succession and Wealth Management Firm. He started his career as an agent with New York Life Insurance Company in 1985. Since its inception in 1996, Tim has been a member of New York Life’s Chairman’s Cabinet, which is comprised of the 50 top producing agents worldwide. In 2009, Tim achieved Council President, which is an annual honor given to the top producing agent of New York Life’s approximately 11,000 licensed agents.

Tim received a Masters of Science degree in Financial Services (MSFS) from the Graduate School of Financial Services of the American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. During his Masters work at the American College, Tim completed 33 hours of course work and wrote a Masters Thesis. In 1999, Tim completed his AEP® designation, earned for experience and training in estate planning.

Tim is a member agent of the Nautilus Group. Within Nautilus, Tim is one of only 25 elite member agents nationwide which make up Nautilus Plus. He has served on New York Life’s Agent Advisory Council and has been an Advisor to the Council. He is currently a member of the Advisory Board of Directors which is comprised of the current Council President and all former Council Presidents who qualified for Chairman's Council. Through their twice-annual meetings with senior management in the Home Office, these experienced leaders provide valuable input on strategic issues. Tim established and maintains a New York Life District Agency that has been among the top ranked nationally since its inception.

Jason Weinland

Jason Weinland is a founding partner of jweinland Group Benefits (previously known as TFG Group Benefits), a full-service employee benefits firm, located in Shreveport. He began his employee benefits career with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana in 1991, where he was Young Producer of the Year for three consecutive years.

In 1994, he transitioned to VP of Sales for Employee Benefit Services of Louisiana (EBS), a third-party administration firm for employer health plans. In 2004, his partnership group purchased EBS and transformed it into the largest health plan administrator in the region. The partnership sold EBS to a national firm in 2008. While a partner at EBS, Jason also founded a COBRA adminstration firm, a Flex Plan adminstration company and a work site insurance products enrollment firm.

In 2009, Jason and Tim FitzGerald founded TFG Group Benefits (jweinland Group Benefits), an independent boutique agency specializing in self funded health plan consulting.

Jason received an undergraduate degree in jounalism from Colorado State University and an MBA from Centenary College of Louisiana.
